Looking for a unique and beautiful venue for your Santa Barbara wedding? The Santa Barbara Zoo. You won't have to worry about your guests being bored during cocktail hour here...they can feed the giraffes or ride the train!
Obviously the zoo is a big property, and a favorite of mine becuase of the endless photographic opportunities. The wedding area has also recently been renovated, with a new getting ready room, bathrooms, seating area, and fountain, along with an expanded lawn for the reception on top of the hill.
The only possible downside is that it can get chilly up there and there is not a lot of ambient light at night, so they bring in heaters and string lights above the reception area to take care of those issues.
The staff is also great, with Zoo Catering Services handling all of the details and providing coordination. My experience as a photographer has been excellent and I know my clients have been happy as well.
There is a new getting ready room as part of the remodel of the wedding area.
